Registration is open for EuroPCom 2024

The European Public Communication Conference (EuroPCom) returns on 5 December 2024, gathering public communication experts across Europe for its 15th edition. Under the theme “Engage Europe: Communicate Strategically in the New Institutional Cycle,” the conference will explore emerging communication methods, from AI applications to digital outreach strategies. Swedish Young Elected Politician Suzanna Viswalingham from Järfälla and local leader in Lidköping Frida Nilsson will represent the Renew Europe Group in the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) to share innovative examples from their municipalities.

Under the theme “Engage Europe. Communicate strategically in the new institutional cycle“, this year’s focus will be on new tools and techniques transforming public communication. From AI to digital platforms, EuroPCom 2024 will explore how communicators can use these innovations to connect with citizens, combat disinformation, and build trust. Communication experts will share insights, best practices and strategies to foster forward-looking communication in an increasingly complex and digital world.

Frida Nilsson (Lidköping, Sweden) will participate in the CoR side event “Regions and cities leading the AI transition – Smart strategies to enhance public communication“, which aims to explore how AI is transforming smart city and regional planning, from public transport to healthcare and governance. Drawing from examples of her own municipality, Nilsson will discuss how cities and regions can use AI to address major challenges while ensuring they are responsive to citizens’ needs. Speaking in the same session will also be one of our Young Elected Politicians, Suzanna Viswalingham (Järfälla, Sweden).

This event is a fantastic opportunity to hear about the latest trends and hot topics in public communication as well as to find out about the new ideas and initiatives that are happening in Europe’s cities and regions. Participation in this event is online and completely free of charge – although you need to register first.
