Are you looking for opportunities to expand your network and work with other politicians, while gathering information on EU funding opportunities and contributing to European legislation? Look no further and apply to the European Committee of the Regions’ Young Elected Politicians programme!
You can apply if you:
- have been elected by direct universal suffrage at regional or local level in a Member State of the European Union or an EU Candidate Country
- are born after 1 January 1989
- do not hold a mandate as a CoR member or alternate
- have a good level of English (only applications in English will be considered)
- complete the application form and submit it by 19 April 2024.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the quality of their application form and with an eye to ensuring gender parity and balance in terms, regional and local representation, political affiliation and nationality.
By becoming a member of the Young Elected Politicians (YEP) network you will have the opportunity to represent your city or region for 1 year while attending CoR plenary sessions, Commission meetings, stakeholder consultations and other global events. Furthermore, you will have the chance to meet fellow YEPs and debate with local, regional and European politicians, while sharing your experiences from back home and exchanging expertise.
