The 10th Summit of Cities and Regions organised by the European Committee of the Regions together with the Walloon Region and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will take place on 18-19 March 2024 in Mons, Belgium.
The 10th Summit of Regions and Cities will kick off in the afternoon of 18th March and feature several sessions with high-level speakers from our political family, such as Alexander De Croo, the Prime Minister of Belgium, Valérie Hayer, President of Renew Europe in the European Parliament, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, the Polish Minister for Funding and Regional Policy and of course François Decoster, President of Renew Europe CoR and Vice-President of Hauts-de-France, and Willy Borsus, Vice-President of Wallonia and of Renew Europe CoR. Thousands of mayors, councillors, regional ministers and top European and global decision-makers will gather in Mons, in the Walloon Region of Belgium, in the heart of Europe, to debate the challenges and solutions for the future of Europe. This year, the Summit will bring a new perspective on topics at the heart of people’s concerns – such as democracy, sustainable development, the future of the European Union and its enlargement, the need to ensure social, economic and territorial cohesion, and dealing with the consequences of the war against Ukraine.
